Overdraft Privilege
Overdraft Privilege helps protect you against the cost, embarrassment, and inconvenience of an accidental overdraft on your account by giving you a reserve for emergencies or unexpected situations. There is no charge for having this privilege on your account unless you use the service. If you do not overdraw your account, you will never be charged an overdraft fee.
With Overdraft Privilege, you can elect Standard Coverage which covers checks, ACH items, and recurring debit transactions. When you extend your Overdraft Privilege coverage, your ATM and everyday debit/Banking Card transactions will be covered as well.

Ready Cash
Ready Cash, an unsecured line of credit1 through your First Midwest Checking account, helps you manage unexpected expenses and gives you the peace of mind knowing you’re covered against temporary cash flow shortages. You can access your Ready Cash line of credit by writing a check, using your First Midwest Banking Card, or by visiting the branch nearest you for a cash advance. Most of all, it’s a safeguard against overdrafts and an increase in your purchasing power.
With Ready Cash:
- Funds are automatically advanced into your checking account in $100 increments (up to your approved credit limit) when your checking account funds are depleted.
- Your checking account is automatically debited for monthly payments, or you can pay off the balance at any time.
- Interest rates are often lower than most credit cards.
